Professional Statement

Gina M. Piscitello, MD, MS, is board-certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. She works clinically and is medical director of the inpatient palliative consult service at UPMC Presbyterian. She also is a clinical ethics consultant. Her research interests focus on identifying and addressing disparities in care for patients with serious illness. She received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency and hospice and palliative medicine and clinical medical ethics fellowships at the University of Chicago.
