Professional Statement

Ariel Clatty holds a PhD in Healthcare Ethics from Duquesne University and completed the Clinical Immersion Program at the Cleveland Clinic. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Pennsylvania State University, where she teaches healthcare ethics within the Department of Health Policy and Administration.

In addition to her academic role, Dr. Clatty is a clinical practicum preceptor for the University of Pittsburgh’s Master of Arts in Bioethics program, supporting graduate students as they develop applied skills in ethical analysis and clinical consultation.

Her current professional interests focus on addressing and reducing moral distress in clinical environments and advancing the care of vulnerable populations.

Through her teaching, mentorship, and clinical ethics work, Dr. Clatty is committed to fostering ethically grounded healthcare practices that support both patients and the professionals who care for them.
