Laurie Zoloth, PhD
Margaret E. Burton Professor of Religion and Ethics

Abstract: In this lecture, Dr. Zoloth will explore both the rationale for and the method of Jewish ethics, in which classic texts, Jewish philosophy and history are used to create new ways to think about the clinical encounter. She will discuss how families and healthcare providers might approach conflicted decisions across fundamentally different cultural norms.
Continuing medical education credit will be available.
The Center’s Healthcare and Religion Lecture Series is co-sponsored by the Palliative and Supportive Institute, the Department of Religious Studies, and the Jewish Studies Program
