Abstract: Dr. Prigerson will discuss EMPOWER, an intervention she developed to help loved ones of patients dying in the Intensive Care Unit. EMPOWER’s 15-minute sessions include mindfulness exercises, education about end-of-life care, and role plays that enable loved ones to think through the difficult decisions they may have to make.
