It Must be a Misunderstanding – A Reading in Spanish and English by Forrest Gander and Coral Bracho

Abstract: Pulitzer-prize winning poet and translator Forrest Gander and Mexican poet Coral Bracho celebrate the forthcoming release of Bracho's English collection It Must Be a Misunderstanding, part poetry collection and part memoir, focusing on Bracho's mother’s the journey through Alzheimer’s disease. Forrest and Coral join the City of Asylum’s 2021 International LitFest for a bilingual reading and discussion centered on translating something as deeply personal as a mother's illness.

The Pittsburgh International Literary Festival (LitFest) is a 10-day event of the City of Asylum that considers themes of migration, identity, and displacement with an emphasis on works in translation. (Full Schedule Here)
