Abstract: Global populations experiencing health inequities, in areas such as life expectancy, infant mortality, infectious diseases, and chronic illness, are also more vulnerable to the harms of climate change. Climate change significantly impacts global health, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations. What health risks are being introduced by climate change, and how will existing challenges be exacerbated? By understanding who is most affected and how, this session will discuss practical solutions to stemming global disparities from climate change. The panel will explore the health disparities arising from climate change, including the emergence of diseases in new areas and the exacerbation of existing health challenges.
