Abstract: Dr. Murray will explore the place of disability in critical and creative thinking about the technologized body. He will place particular focus on critical posthumanist approaches to ideas of embodiment and selfhood and their relationship to theoretical models derived from critical disability studies. The talk will also include examples from contemporary literature and film that portray this association and discuss their relevance to wider debates on the topic.
