Abstract: The surgeons who contributed to heart surgery in the latter part of the 20th century include some of the most interesting personalities one could ever expect to meet. This presentation will concentrate as much on the personal stories of the surgeons as on the contributions they made to "closed" heart surgery, "open" heart surgery, heart-lung machines, transplantation, and mechanical hearts.
The Zoom link for the lecture will be available at the Society’s website in advance of the lecture.
