Transforming Women's Health

Abstract: Designed for a diverse group of participants including medical professionals, policymakers, advocates, students, and engaged patients of all genders, orientations and ages,  this symposium will include concurrent sessions on the opioid epidemic, sexual assault, maternal health, the status of sex education locally and nationally, health equity, and women’s healthcare. The Program will include:

Valerie Jarrett, former Senior Advisor to President Obama;
Barbara Ross-Lee, DO, the first African American woman to be appointed dean of a US medical school; and
Patrice Harris, MD, MA, the first African American woman to serve as President-Elect of the American Medical Association.
