Medical Error: The Untold Story in Medicine

Abstract: Danielle Ofri will discuss her book, When We Do Harm: A Doctor Confronts Medical Error, and her work as a physician who writes. She is a recipient of the McGovern Award from the American Medical Writers Association for “preeminent contributions to medical communication” and a TED talk speaker and Moth Story Hour contributor. In November 2017, Ofri presented the Cooper Lectureship at Herberman Conference Center, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, discussing her book, What Patients Say, What Doctors Hear.
