Abstract: Incarcerated individuals who become patients within the hospital pose many of the same ethical considerations as any patient.  Yet clinicians often struggle with ethical and legal constraints associated with treating this vulnerable population in the hospital. This Healthcare Ethics ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) presentation will outline ethical considerations related to incarcerated individuals as inpatients and those that arise during discharge planning.
