To celebrate the launch of Professor Crossley’s book, Embodied Injustice: Race, Disability, and Health (Cambridge University Press 2022), Paula Davis and Thistle Elias will provide brief commentaries following Professor Crossley’s remarks. Embodied Injustice uses an interdisciplinary approach, weaving health research with social science, critical approaches, and personal stories to portray the devastating effects of health injustice in America. Crossley also suggests reforms to advance health equity for disabled people, Black people, and disabled Black people. A reception will follow.
