In a small city in the heart of Texas, a woman with Down syndrome and her half-brother find themselves unmoored in the wake of their mother’s death. Their close family friend, Justice, introduces them to a local artist, hoping he and Ginny can make a song together. Alison Mahoney, a PhD student in Pitt’s theater and performance studies program, directs this play about caretaking and caregiving by Will Arbery.

Along with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, the Center for Bioethics & Health Law is pleased to provide co-sponsorship for this play, particularly during this year when it is seeking to advance dialogue between bioethics and disability studies, and between people with disabilities and healthcare providers.
