Abstract: An expert on women’s reproductive and sexuality in history and in the present day, Dr. Rodriguez will discuss Dr. James Burt, the controversial obstetrician/gynecologist. Dr. Rodriguez is celebrating the publication of her book, The Love Surgeon: A Story of Trust, Harm, and the Limits of Medical Regulation (Northwestern, 2020).
