Health Justice and Equity in the COVID-19 Pandemic

July 29, 2020 - 11:00am

Abstract:  The Covid-19 pandemic has revealed and deepened existing racial inequities.  It has further exacerbated the disproportionate impact of existing health inequities on historically marginalized populations – both long term and short term.  For racial and ethnic minorities, disparities in exposure, susceptibility, and treatment are not unique to this pandemic but are further complicated by the urgency of an infectious disease and the lack of adequate resources and support for public health interventions.
