Joint MD/MA Application Information

Students wishing to enroll in this joint degree program must first be admitted to each of the individual programs.

Students must therefore complete and submit two separate applications, one with the Center for Bioethics and Health Law and one with the School of Medicine. The bioethics program will accept the unofficial photocopies of transcripts and MCAT score so long as the official copies are on file with the School of Medicine.  Application to both programs may be made simultaneously, or students may apply to the bioethics program any time during their first three years of medical school; however, they should be aware that places in the class for each fall begin to be filled in February of the preceding spring.

The deadline for applications for admission to the bioethics program should be submitted no later than March 31st for admission in the fall. It is preferable for students to apply early.
