The Center for Bioethics & Health Law was founded to draw together faculty from across the University who shared research interests in bioethical issues. Research—empirical, conceptual, and philosophical—remains the core activity of the Center.

For the past two decades, the interdisciplinary field of the health humanities has been part of the portfolio of Center activities.

Consortium Ethics Program (CEP)

The Consortium Ethics Program (CEP), a nationally acclaimed health care ethics education network, supports professional development and provides skills to address ethical dilemmas.

Member institutions experience enhanced patient-centered care, re-vitalize ethics committees, and gain access to the University's faculty who speak on topics in bioethics and health law.  Individuals learn the the language, methods, and literature of health care ethics.
